We Need A Less CPU Intensive Video Encoder
Is there a way to add other video encoders to MythTV? The guy that is doing the ebox web site said he got good performance out of mp1e or how about trying the divx encoder. Just asking.

I don't think adding other encoders to mythtv is trivial.
I don't know anything about mp1e. Divx as I understand it is actually a
quite cpu intensive encoder. I think RTJPEG is pretty easy on the cpu.
In trade for that you get larger file sizes than mpeg4.
