Need us-Cable-IRC-center-frequencies-QAM256 file
Now that I have analog cable working fine I'm trying to set up QAM.
There's a lot of info available, the hardest thing is trying to
figure out what is obsolete, as a lot of it is.

I am trying to get the QAM channel information file referenced in
several places, preferably without having to get "mercurial" about
it. I've looked on the Linuxtv site, I think they have a date problem
with their DLs as most of them claim to be from 2004.

What I need is:

"us-Cable-IRC-center-frequencies-QAM256", or its HRC cousin, I would
assume they are in the same place.

It seems like this would be an extremely common file to want, but I
can't seem to find it. Apparently it is needed to use atscscan on a
CATV system in the US.

Any pointer to its location would be greatly appreciated. A pointer
to a method of setting up a hd-3000 card's channel map without this
file would help as well. As I said, I have searched and found a *lot*
of info but it is contradictory in a lot of cases.

If you're going to spam us with your question that you figured out
yourself, the least you could do is put the info in your "NEVER MIND"
post so the next guy finds it in the archives.* ;)

Mike

*True, this assumes that the next guy will check the archives, first,
which is not always the case... ;)

Extremely good point, you are quite correct. I spotted a response
literally seconds after I had sent the "never mind" and so decided
to let that stand as the "solution", rather than add an additional
and redundant post.

I am a great believer in posting "Solved" endings to threads. I can't
count the number of times I have followed a thread that seemed to be
my exact problem only to have it stop, presumably because the poster
lost interest in posting once he got the thing going.

It would be nice if you could just search the archives for your
problem and "solved", to go straight to the solution, but somehow
that never works.

Can you share where you got this file from? I've been looking for
about 4 hours now, and I cannot seem to find it anywhere.
