No stereo on PVR-150 (workaround bit?)
I had this same problem about 1 year ago. Basically, my PVR-150 will not tune any channels in stereo. v4l2-ctl displays only mono and lang2 as being available. (See my post at http://ivtvdriver.org/pipermail/ivtv-devel/2007-January/003975.html). In the past week, I've upgraded my installation to a fresh Kubuntu 7.10. It appears to come with a precompiled version of ivtv 1.0.2 and kernel 2.6.22-14.

On my old installation (ivtv 0.8.2 and kernel 2.6.18), Hans asked me to recompile the driver making the change quoted below. This worked for that version of the driver. Now that things are
integrated into the kernel, how do I turn off this workaround in the current version of the driver?

Re: No stereo on PVR-150 (workaround bit?) [ In reply to ]
Oops... Never mind. I see it now. I installed the source for the driver from the Ubuntu package, which did not have the ivtv-driver.c file. Now that I've installed the full kernel source, I see the file and I see the line to change. My mistake.

Subject: [ivtv-devel] No stereo on PVR-150 (workaround bit?)

I had this same problem about 1 year ago. Basically, my PVR-150 will
not tune any channels in stereo. v4l2-ctl displays only mono and lang2

On my old installation (ivtv 0.8.2 and kernel 2.6.18), Hans asked me to
recompile the driver making the change quoted below. This worked for
that version of the driver. Now that things are
integrated into the kernel, how do I turn off this workaround in the
current version of the driver?

Re: No stereo on PVR-150 (workaround bit?) [ In reply to ]
I get popping Stereo, generally mono, but sometimes it will pop and produce
stereo.
