Glad to oblige. The morale of the story: remember to remove cleanup
section of templates (that trigger publishes of other stories) prior to
bulk publishing.

I usually have something like this:

<%cleanup>;
$m->comp('/util/triggers.mc');
</%cleanup>

Then, in `triggers.mc`, which does all of the triggered publishing
stuff, the first few lines are:

<%init>
##############################################################################
# Uncomment this line to 1 to skip the triggers.
# return;
##############################################################################

That way I can just uncomment that `return` line, deploy, then bulk
publish. When the bulk publish finishes, I re-comment that line and re-
deploy.
